Robust multi-physics field reconstruction via sparse enclosure temperature measurements for GIL Digital Twin application

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems
Fast and reliable field reconstruction from sparse sensing is essential for real-time Digital Twin (DT) models, yet it has been overshadowed by the emphasis on fast-forward simulations within the high-voltage apparatus community, despite both approaches ...

Impact analysis of zero-sequence current rounding deviation on time-domain distance protection and its improved algorithm

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems
The time-domain distance protection performs well under the influence of renewable energy generation characteristics, such as frequency offset and phase controlled character, thus having outstanding application prospects in systems with renewable power ...

Intelligent system to control electric power distribution networks

open access: yesAdvances in Distributed Computing and Artificial Intelligence Journal, 2016
The use of high voltage power lines transport involves some risks that may be avoided with periodic reviews as imposed by law in most countries. The objective of this work is to reduce the number of these periodic reviews so that the maintenance cost of ...

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Power decoupling method for synchronous reference frame-based vector control

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems
This short communication analyzes the power coupling mechanism of synchronous reference frame-based vector control (SRF-VC) of voltage source inverter (VSI), which is caused by the variation of voltage angle difference (VVAD) between voltage at point of ...

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

YlmG1 is localized exclusively to the chloroplast envelope membrane and is involved in preprotein translocation in Arabidopsis thaliana

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Cytosolically synthesized chloroplast preproteins are translocated across the outer and inner envelope membranes through translocons called TOC and TIC, respectively. In green algae and plants, the TIC core is composed of essential membrane proteins, Tic12, Tic20, and Tic214.

MiR‐513a promotes human erythroid differentiation by modulating c‐Jun

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
During early human erythropoiesis, miR‐513a promoted erythroid differentiation in primary human CD34+ hematopoietic stem‐progenitor cells and human TF‐1 erythroleukemic cells by indirectly decreasing c‐Jun and phospho‐c‐Jun expression, which are associated with increased GATA1 expression.

A Control Approach for Distributed Power Flow Controller

open access: yesIOSR Journal of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, 2013
This paper represents a new dimension of the Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) called as Distributed Power-Flow Controller (DPFC). The aim of this paper is to develop a new type of power-flow controlling device that offers the same control capability as the UPFC, at a reduced cost and with increased reliability.
