Wind turbine condition assessment through power curve copula modeling

open access: yes, 2012
Power curves constructed from wind speed and active power output measurements provide an established method of analyzing wind turbine performance. In this paper it is proposed that operational data from wind turbines are used to estimate bivariate ...

A Comparative Study of Time-Frequency Representations for Fault Detection in Wind Turbine [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
To reduce the cost of wind energy, minimization and prediction of maintenance operations in wind turbine is of key importance. In variable speed turbine generator, advanced signal processing tools are required to detect and diagnose the generator faults ...

A Deep GMDH Neural-Network-Based Robust Fault Detection Method for Active Distribution Networks

open access: yesEnergies, 2023
The increasing penetration of distributed generation (DG) to power distribution networks mainly induces weaknesses in the sensitivity and selectivity of protection systems.

POSSIBILITIES OF AUTOMATIC RECOVERY OF POWER SUPPLY IN DISTRIBUTION NETWORK IN CASE OF MULTIPLE SIMULTANEOUS FAULTS

open access: yesВестник Северо-Кавказского федерального университета, 2022
We study the possibilities of automatic restoration of power supply after a set of simultaneous sustained faults on power lines in the distribution network.

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Impact of Distributed Generation on the Fault Current in Power Distribution System

open access: yesIndonesian Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, 2017
<p>Monitoring fault current is very important in power system protection. Therefore, the impact of installing Distributed Generation (DG) on the fault current is investigated in this paper. Three types of fault currents which are single line-to-ground, double line-to-ground and three phase fault are analyzed at various fault locations.

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

The structure and composition of exhumed faults, and their implications for seismic processes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
Field studies of faults exhumed from seismogenic depths provide useful data to constrain seismologic models of fault zone processes and properties. Data collected on the San Andreas Fault in the San Gabriel Mountains has shown that large-displacement ...
