The Information System For Power Distribution System As Answer On New Demands In Power Distribution System

2005 IEEE/PES Transmission & Distribution Conference & Exposition: Asia and Pacific, 2005
Information is most important thing now in 21st century. The many power utility company do not use information system for technical problems. This company work as before ten or fifty years. Only way for progress is insert information system into power utility system. Information system go into power utility company first as billing system. Next step is

A powerful algorithm for distribution systems analysis

ICECS'99. Proceedings of ICECS '99. 6th IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Circuits and Systems (Cat. No.99EX357), 2003
This paper presents a powerful method for distribution systems analysis. The algorithm developed is based on a robust power flow method using a multi-port Thevenin equivalent circuit technique and basic formulation of Kirchhoff's laws. This algorithm is implemented with an efficient method to store the network topology using trees and linked lists data

Reactive power management for distributed systems

Proceedings of the 49th Annual Southeast Regional Conference, 2011
Distributed computing allows users to better utilize and share resources. Having this advantage currently requires a large amount of energy. In this paper we propose a solution for reducing power consumption in distributed computing, called Limited Reactive Power Management (LRPM).

Distributed economic dispatch for power systems

2017 11th Asian Control Conference (ASCC), 2017
The paper proposes a fully distributed approach for economic dispatch problem (EDP) in power systems. The goal is to determine the output power to meet the load demand economically. In this paper, a simple algorithm is proposed to solve EDP under capacity constraint. The proposed method only needs its local cost parameters and the local predicted load.

State Estimation in the Power Distribution System

ACM SIGMETRICS Performance Evaluation Review, 2019
In the domain of power distribution network, software that can estimate the grid state using several measurement values as input has been rarely used in the low voltage grid. Such software tools are based on adaptive state estimation methods and their accuracy highly depends on the available input data.

Power factor correction on distribution systems

Journal of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, 1920
POWER factor is a characteristic of electrical energy which is being transmitted by an impressed alternating voltage and resultant alternating current whereby it is possible for the current to rise and fall in magnitude before, with or after, the equivalent rise or fall in the alternating electromotive force.

The Next Generation of Power Distribution Systems

IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid, 2010
This paper summarizes diverse concepts for the next generation of power distribution system. The objective is to bring distribution engineering more closely aligned to smart grid philosophy. Issues of design, operation, and control are discussed with regard to new system theoretic as well as component/materials advances. In particular, two transmission
