Large‐Scale Applications of Plasma Technologies: Progresses and Challenges

open access: yesHigh Voltage, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Plasma technologies convert electrical power into energetic electrons, ions, reactive species, radiation and heat, thereby breaking through the bottleneck of purely thermal or chemical routes and bringing impressive changes to our world. This roadmap reviews the progress and challenges of plasma technologies from a large‐scale and application ...

Power Doppler sonography: clinical applications

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Radiology, 1998
Color Doppler imaging (CD) has had a great impact on ultrasonography (US). This technique depicts local flow by encoding an estimate of the mean Doppler frequency shift at a particular position in color. However, the choice of the mean frequency shift as the parameter for representing flow in color Doppler is somewhat arbitrary.

Evaluation of cervical lymph node vascularity: A comparison of colour Doppler, power Doppler and 3-D power Doppler sonography

Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology, 2004
This study was undertaken to compare the performance of colour Doppler (CDS), power Doppler (PDS) and 3-D power Doppler sonography (3-D PDS) in the assessment of vascular pattern and vessel displacement of cervical lymph nodes. Colour Doppler (2-D CDS), power Doppler (2-D PDS) and 3-D power Doppler sonograms (3D PDS) of 145 cervical nodes were reviewed

Differential diagnosis of lymphadenopathy: power Doppler vs color Doppler sonography

European Radiology, 2002
Our objective was to compare color and power Doppler sonography of superficial lymph nodes. One hundred ninety-three lymph nodes in 161 patients were assessed by color and power Doppler sonography using standardized settings. We tested which modality displayed more intranodal vessels and checked if these differences would have altered the diagnosis ...

Power Doppler

Journal of Diagnostic Medical Sonography, 1998
In contrast to frequency-shift color Doppler imaging (CDI), which indicates blood flow velocity and direction, power CDI (PCDI) visualizes the concentration of moving blood scatterers. It is more sensitive than CDI, relatively angle independent, free of aliasing, more accurate in depicting luminal edges, and better in visualizing the continuity of flow.

Evaluation of joint effusion in rabbits by color Doppler, power Doppler, and contrast-enhanced power Doppler ultrasonography

Journal of Clinical Ultrasound, 2005
The aim of this prospective study was to evaluate the diagnostic value of power Doppler ultrasonography (PDUS) and contrast-enhanced PDUS (CEPDUS) in the depiction and characterization of experimentally induced arthritis in the rabbit.Thirty rabbits were divided into three groups consisting of one control group (saline injection group) and two ...

Power doppler findings in nasopharingeal angiofibroma

Clinical Imaging, 1998
Juvenile nasopharingeal angiofibroma (JNA) is a rare, histologically benign but clinically malign hypervascular tumor localized in the nasopharynx which occurs exclusively in adolescent boys. There is no definite attitude towards etiology of angiofibroma.
