Less-conventional low-consumption galvanic separated MOSFET-IGBT gate drive supply [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
A simple half-bridge, galvanic separated power supply which can be short circuit proof is proposed for gate driver local supplies. The supply is made while hacking a common mode type filter as a transformer, as the transformer shows a good insulation, it

NanoMOF‐Based Multilevel Anti‐Counterfeiting by a Combination of Visible and Invisible Photoluminescence and Conductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.

Linear-assisted DC/DC converters with modified current-mode control applied to photovoltaic solar systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
This article shows the proposal of a current-mode one-cycle control for linear-assisted DC/DC converters. Linearassisted DC/DC converters are structures that allow to take advantages of the two classic alternatives in the design of power supply systems ...

Time Domain Analysis for Measuring Core Losses in Inductive Elements for Power Electronics: An Investigation Study

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
The article proposes a method to measure core losses in magnetic elements for medium-frequency power electronics circuits working in conditions close to those in many real industrial circuits: supplied with square-wave voltage and working in linear ...

Cu‐Based MOF/TiO2 Composite Nanomaterials for Photocatalytic Hydrogen Generation and the Role of Copper

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
HKUST‐1/TiO2 composite materials show a very high photocatalytic hydrogen evolution rate which increases as a function of the irradiation time until reaching a plateau and even surpasses the performance of the 1%Pt/TiO2 material after three photocatalytic cycles.

Geometric Algebra Applied to Multiphase Electrical Circuits in Mixed Time–Frequency Domain by Means of Hypercomplex Hilbert Transform

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
In this paper, power flows in electrical circuits are modelled in a mixed time-frequency domain by using geometric algebra and the Hilbert transform for the first time.

Enabling National Instruments to Drive Power Electronics Circuits [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The power electronics circuits have interfaces to the microcontroller to enable their operation and controls. National instruments products are common for data acquisition but less common for hardware in the loop control of power electronics.
