Dual Boost High performances Power Factor Correction (PFC)
2008 Twenty-Third Annual IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition, 2008In this paper a novel power factor correction (PFC) dual boost scheme is proposed. It is based on an optimized power sharing where the active filtering approach is used to increase the current quality and at the same time to reduce the switching losses.

Single-Stage Power Factor Correction (PFC) Converter Design
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014A single-stage PFC converter was introduced in this paper, then the converter EMI filters, converters inductors, high-frequency transformers and power components were designed and chosen, proven to good effect.

A new three-phase power-factor correction (PFC) scheme using two single-phase PFC modules
IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, 2002In this paper, a new three-phase power-factor correction (PFC) scheme is proposed using two single-phase PFC modules. In this approach, the "three" phase input is first transformed to "two" phase by means of a 0.14-pu-rated autotransformer. Two standard single-phase PFC modules are then employed to process the "two" phase power to DC output.

A new power factor correction technique using PFC boost converter
2012 11th International Conference on Environment and Electrical Engineering, 2012Generally non-linear loads are the main source of harmonics. This paper presents one new control scheme to compensate the harmonic current generated by the diode rectifier so as to achieve a power factor nearer to unity and regulate the DC-bus voltage.

Analysis of single-phase boost power factor correction (PFC) converter
Proceedings of the IEEE 1999 International Conference on Power Electronics and Drive Systems. PEDS'99 (Cat. No.99TH8475), 1999In this paper, the single-phase boost power factor correction converter is discussed in detail. With the Fourier series analysis of the general model, the low frequency model and high frequency model are proposed. From the low frequency model, the expression of the duty cycle, the boundary between continuous current mode (CCM) and discontinuous current

Techniques to obtain single-stage power supplies with power factor correction (PFC)
International Journal of Electronics, 2011In order to comply with the standards, the input current of the switch mode power supplies (SMPS) must be almost sinusoidal, i.e. the SMPS must achieve power factor correction. This requirement is normally reached with the use of an additional input converter, typically a boost, resulting in a two-stage SMPS with the inherent drawbacks: high cost and ...

Low cost power factor correction (PFC) converter using delay control
Proceedings of Power Conversion Conference - PCC '97, 2002A low cost universal input voltage (90/spl sim/264 V) power factor correction (PFC) converter for a 200 W power supply in a personal computer (PC) is proposed. It consists of the PFC part followed by a DC-DC power converter as in a conventional two-stage scheme. However a single PWM controller is used as in a single-stage, single-switch PFC scheme. The

An active PFC boost converter topology for power factor correction
2015 Annual IEEE India Conference (INDICON), 2015This paper introduces a single-stage active power factor correction (PFC) AC-DC converter which provides almost unity power factor and minimizes the THD to 7.4 %. For a constant DC output voltage a single phase diode bridge rectifier with a large output capacitor is considered in this paper. This standard topology has a shortcoming of introducing lower
