Chance-Constrained ADMM Approach for Decentralized Control of Distributed Energy Resources

open access: yes, 2018
Distribution systems are undergoing a dramatic transition from a passive circuit that routinely disseminates electric power among downstream nodes to the system with distributed energy resources.

KLK7 overexpression promotes an aggressive phenotype and facilitates peritoneal dissemination in colorectal cancer cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
KLK7, a tissue kallikrein‐related peptidase, is elevated in advanced colorectal cancer and associated with shorter survival. High KLK7 levels in ascites correlate with peritoneal metastasis. In mice, KLK7 overexpression increases metastasis. In vitro, KLK7 enhances cancer cell proliferation, migration, adhesion, and spheroid formation, driving ...

Power Flow Control and Current Ripple Minimization of HVDC Converter System by Using Zero-Sequence Voltage Injection Control [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
This paper introduces the Zero_Sequence Voltage_Injection(ZSVI) based Model Predictive_Control (MPC) to minimize the ripples in dc current & voltage and concurrently regulate the power_flow & dc_current. This paper takes the benefits to calculate

Enzymatic degradation of biopolymers in amorphous and molten states: mechanisms and applications

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This review explains how polymer morphology and thermal state shape enzymatic degradation pathways, comparing amorphous and molten biopolymer structures. By integrating structure–reactivity principles with insights from thermodynamics and enzyme engineering, it highlights mechanisms that enable efficient polymer breakdown.

Power flow control of local power system with power flow controllable transformer

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series
Abstract To meet the application requirements of flexible power flow control in local power systems across voltage levels, the PFCT circuit topology and its power flow control strategy are studied. A PFCT circuit topology and its equivalent model are proposed.

Differential regulation of ZFAS1 splice variants by endoplasmic reticulum stress in hepatocyte cell lines

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
ZFAS1 is a lncRNA promoting cell proliferation and migration, exhibiting high expression in various cancers. It is conserved, widely expressed, and produces multiple splice variants with unclear roles. We identified several splice variants in hepatocyte models, and found that inhibiting or suppressing regulators of the unfolded protein response (PERK ...

Extension of vibrational power flow techniques to two-dimensional structures [PDF]

open access: yes
In the analysis of the vibration response and structure-borne vibration transmission between elements of a complex structure, statistical energy analysis (SEA) or finite element analysis (FEA) are generally used.

Study on Thermal Radiation Characteristics and the Multi-Point Source Model of Hydrogen Jet Fire

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Hydrogen safety remains a paramount concern in pipeline transportation. Once hydrogen leaks and ignites, it quickly escalates into a jet fire incident. The substantial thermal radiation released poses significant risks of fire and explosion.

Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.

Parametric and experimental analysis using a power flow approach [PDF]

open access: yes
Having defined and developed a structural power flow approach for the analysis of structure-borne transmission of structural vibrations, the technique is used to perform an analysis of the influence of structural parameters on the transmitted energy.
