UNIFIED POWER FLOW CONTROLLER CONTROL STRATEGIES for POWER FLOW

open access: yesYanbu Journal of Engineering and Science
In order to address power flow control issues, this study introduces the use of Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC) models. These models are based on regulating the variables influencing the transmission line's power flow, and they are capable of controlling the bus voltage, the line's actual and reactive power, all at once and independently. The idea

Enzymatic degradation of biopolymers in amorphous and molten states: mechanisms and applications

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This review explains how polymer morphology and thermal state shape enzymatic degradation pathways, comparing amorphous and molten biopolymer structures. By integrating structure–reactivity principles with insights from thermodynamics and enzyme engineering, it highlights mechanisms that enable efficient polymer breakdown.

Temperature Adaptability Analysis of Closed Cycle Using CO2-Based Mixed Working Fluid for Underwater Platforms

open access: yes水下无人系统学报
The supercritical CO2 Brayton cycle system is an important development direction of underwater platform power technology. However, due to the low temperature in the deep sea which is far away from the critical temperature of CO2, the cycle system has ...

Differential regulation of ZFAS1 splice variants by endoplasmic reticulum stress in hepatocyte cell lines

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
ZFAS1 is a lncRNA promoting cell proliferation and migration, exhibiting high expression in various cancers. It is conserved, widely expressed, and produces multiple splice variants with unclear roles. We identified several splice variants in hepatocyte models, and found that inhibiting or suppressing regulators of the unfolded protein response (PERK ...

Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.

Low power electromagnetic flowmeter providing accurate zero set [PDF]

open access: yes, 1971
A low power, small size electromagnetic flowmeter system is described which produces a zero output signal for zero flow. The system comprises an air core type electromagnetic flow transducer, a field current supply circuit for the transducer coils and a ...

Natural Products as Geroprotective Modulators in Diabetic Nephropathy: A Mechanistic Framework Integrating Aging Hallmarks and the AMPK–SIRT1–Nrf2 Axis

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
Natural products target the aging kidney in diabetic nephropathy by restoring the AMPK–SIRT1–Nrf2 axis, reducing oxidative stress, inflammation, fibrosis, and cellular senescence while enhancing mitochondrial biogenesis and antioxidant defenses.

Capillary compression induced outstanding n-type thermoelectric power factor in CNT films towards intelligent temperature controller

open access: yesNature Communications
One-dimensional carbon nanotubes are promising candidates for thermoelectrics because of their excellent electrical and mechanical properties. However, the large n-type power factor remains elusive in macroscopic carbon nanotubes films. Herein, we report

Tuning Ag Loading and Particle Size in Ag@g-C3N4 Photocatalysts for Selective CO2 Conversion to CO and CH4

open access: yesNanomaterials
Elucidating the mechanisms of CO2 photocatalytic conversion systems is crucial for tackling the challenges of carbon neutrality. In this study, a series of Ag@g-C3N4 photocatalysts were constructed with metal particle size modulation as the core strategy
