Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

A Wind and Solar Power Prediction Method Based on Temporal Convolutional Network–Attention–Long Short-Term Memory Transfer Learning and Sensitive Meteorological Features

open access: yesApplied Sciences
To address the issue of declining prediction accuracy caused by the lack of data in newly constructed wind and solar power stations, this paper introduces a transfer learning-based forecasting approach for wind and photovoltaic power.

Short-Term Forecasting of Power Production in a Large-Scale Photovoltaic Plant Based on LSTM

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
Photovoltaic (PV) power is attracting more and more concerns. Power output prediction, as a necessary technical requirement of PV plants, closely relates to the rationality of power grid dispatch.

Out-of-sample forecast tests robust to the choice of window size [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper proposes new methodologies for evaluating out-of-sample forecasting performance that are robust to the choice of the estimation window size. The methodologies involve evaluating the predictive ability of forecasting models over a wide range of

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Advanced Wind Power Forecasting

open access: yesJournal of Innovative Computing and Emerging Technologies
The popularity of LSTM networks in wind prediction is due to their inherent capabilities in handling the long-term dependencies of sequential data. This normally outperforms traditional methods like ARIMA. However, current work has illustrated that EMD-based approaches outperform LSTM models in many critical performance metrics.

Can Panel Data Really Improve the Predictability of the Monetary Exchange Rate Model? [PDF]

open access: yes
A common explanation for the inability of the monetary model to beat the random walk in forecasting future exchange rates is that conventional time series tests may have low power, and that panel data should generate more powerful tests.

Rethinking plastic waste: innovations in enzymatic breakdown of oil‐based polyesters and bioplastics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Plastic pollution remains a critical environmental challenge, and current mechanical and chemical recycling methods are insufficient to achieve a fully circular economy. This review highlights recent breakthroughs in the enzymatic depolymerization of both oil‐derived polyesters and bioplastics, including high‐throughput protein engineering, de novo ...

Targeting TNBC: core–shell polycationic polyurea dendrimers with inherent anticancer activity

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Core–shell polycationic PURE dendrimers were tested in TNBC‐derived tumor models. Both formulations selectively targeted TNBC and effectively reduced tumor volume. PUREG4‐OEI48 suppressed tumor growth without detectable toxicity, whereas PUREG4‐OCEI24, despite showing efficacy, induced hepatic toxicity.
