Stochastic reactive power dispatch in hybrid power system with intermittent wind power generation
Energy, 2015Environmental concerns besides fuel costs are the predominant reasons for unprecedented escalating integration of wind turbine on power systems. Operation and planning of power systems are affected by this type of energy due to the intermittent nature of wind speed inputs with high uncertainty in the optimization output variables.

Efficient and Environmentally Friendly Power Dispatch by Tri-generation
2014 5th International Conference on Intelligent Systems, Modelling and Simulation, 2014The efficient utilization of available energy resources is very important since the global demand of energy is increasing very rapidly due to global population growth and economic development. Tri-generation is one of the methods to increase the efficiency of generation with available resources.

A new flexibility based probabilistic economic load dispatch solution incorporating wind power
International Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems, 2022Nowadays, by the growing in renewable energies in the power system, the uncertainty of power output related to these resources increases. This needs to improve power system flexibility to reduce the risk of load shedding or renewable curtailment due to ...

Economic dispatch of renewable power generators in a microgrid
2012 IEEE International Symposium on Alternative Energies and Energy Quality (SIFAE), 2012The improvement of new energy generation technologies has supported the usage of renewable alternative sources in a distributed way based on an information structure known as a Smart Grid. In this work, we explore the applicability of the distributed generation concept in a small city with renewable energy provided by biomass and small hydro plants in ...

Review of Dynamic Dispatch Research Considering Intermittent Power Generation
2011 Asia-Pacific Power and Energy Engineering Conference, 2011Safety and economic operation in power system is the most important issue for the power industry. Combination of distributed generation into large power grids is considered as the development tendency, however the active power dispatching considering intermittent energy is the bottleneck for the renewable energy integration.
