Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Selection of the connection node and power of battery energy storage system in distribution electric network

open access: yesEnergy Informatics
Due to the global increase in the share of renewable energy sources in the share of generation in distribution electric networks around the world, an acute problem of power fluctuations has arisen.

An Efficient Mathematical Model for Distribution System Reconfiguration Using AMPL

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
Distribution network is an essential part of electric power system, which however has higher power losses than transmission system. Distribution losses directly affect the operational cost of the system.

Chance-Constrained ADMM Approach for Decentralized Control of Distributed Energy Resources

open access: yes, 2018
Distribution systems are undergoing a dramatic transition from a passive circuit that routinely disseminates electric power among downstream nodes to the system with distributed energy resources.

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

Diffusion-Based Distributed Coordination Control of Power Converters in MG for Efficiency Improvement

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
The efficiency of the microgrid (MG) system is depended on converter and power line losses. The loss of converter relies on the load condition whereas the power line loss is affected by the line impedance. Improving the efficiency of the MG system should

Optimal Operation of Automated Distribution Networks Based-MRFO Algorithm

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
Nowadays, distribution utilities expend large investments on Distributed System Automation (DSA) based on smart secondary substations at load, capacitor, and distributed generator points with installed automatic sectionalizing switches on their branches.

Detection of circulating tumor DNA in colorectal cancer patients using a methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We developed a cost‐effective methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex assay containing tissue‐conserved and tumor‐specific methylation markers. The assay can detect circulating tumor DNA with high accuracy in patients with localized and metastatic colorectal cancer.

A COMPUTER CALCULATION FOR TENTATIVE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT BY REACTIVE POWER COMPENSATION CONSIDERING SYSTEM UNBALANCED [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
An improvement of unbalanced distribution system operation is carried out by reactive power compensation. The lagging reactive power demand is compensated by allocating a number of three-phase shunt capacitors.
