Multi-Objective Dispatch for Batteries and Renewable Generation Sources in Distribution Grids Using a Weighting-Based Convex Approach While Considering Uncertainty

open access: yesIEEE Access
This research presents a multi-objective dispatch (MOD) for energy storage systems (ESS) utilizing batteries and renewable energy resources (RES) in distribution network applications. This proposal employs a convex weighting-based approach. The exact MOD

A Majorization-Minimization Approach to Design of Power Transmission Networks

open access: yes, 2010
We propose an optimization approach to design cost-effective electrical power transmission networks. That is, we aim to select both the network structure and the line conductances (line sizes) so as to optimize the trade-off between network efficiency ...

Detection of Non-Technical Losses in Smart Distribution Networks: a Review [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
With the advent of smart grids, distribution utilities have initiated a large deployment of smart meters on the premises of the consumers. The enormous amount of data obtained from the consumers and communicated to the utility give new perspectives ...

Real power loss minimization using interior point method

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems, 2001
Abstract An efficient predictor–corrector primal–dual interior point method (IPM) is applied to reactive power optimization. A linear model is introduced in which control variables and voltage increments are linked by a modified Jacobian matrix, and transmission losses are represented as a function of voltage increments.

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Comparison of multilevel PWM versus interleaved based sinewave shaping for two-stage current source inverters used in PV applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
This paper investigates the advantages of using interleaved based direct sinusoidal current shaping techniques as alternative to 5-level Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) when used in conjunction to a two stage Current Source Inverter (CSI) in PV applications.

Basroparib inhibits YAP‐driven cancers by stabilizing angiomotin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Basroparib, a selective tankyrase inhibitor, suppresses Wnt signaling and attenuates YAP‐driven oncogenic programs by stabilizing angiomotin. It promotes AMOT–YAP complex formation, enforces cytoplasmic YAP sequestration, inhibits YAP/TEAD transcription, and sensitizes YAP‐active cancers, including KRAS‐mutant colorectal cancer, to MEK inhibition.
