Harnessing energy flows: technologies for renewable power production [Elektronisk resurs]
In this chapter, the technologies for renewable power production of today andin the near future will be described and explained. Renewable power productionis electric power production without using a fuel that will end some day in thefuture.

Systemic dysregulation of apolipoproteins in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis serum
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a fatal disease that damages motor neurons. This study found that people with ALS show significant changes in blood fats and the proteins that carry them. Several apolipoproteins were higher, lipid balances were altered, and normal protein–lipid relationships were disrupted.

Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Wages and Product Market Power
This paper analyses time-series on some 800 British manufacturing companies to address various questions concerning the role of insiders and market power in wage determination. The following are the most important results. First, product market power has a positive impact on wages; this impact is enhanced in large firms but is not influenced by union ...
