The Dwarf Nova PQ Andromedae [PDF]
We report a photometric study of the WZ Sagittae-type dwarf nova PQ Andromedae. The light curve shows strong (0.05 mag full amplitude) signals with periods of 1263(1) and 634(1) s, and a likely double-humped signal with P=80.6(2) min.

This article focuses on the Feed Forward Neural Network (FFNN) controller based on the Shunt Active Power Filter (SAPF) to reduce the harmonics of the distribution system. Electronic power loads are connected to distributed power plants using power converters, and these converters and electric power are a harmonic and active source of power that ...

Self‐Similar Blowup for the Cubic Schrödinger Equation
ABSTRACT We give a rigorous proof for the existence of a finite‐energy, self‐similar solution to the focusing cubic Schrödinger equation in three spatial dimensions. The proof is computer‐assisted and relies on a fixed point argument that shows the existence of a solution in the vicinity of a numerically constructed approximation.

This paper investigates the high‐pressure water jet‐pick combined rock‐breaking mode (HPC), which employs high‐pressure water jets to precut grooves on both sides of the picks. The rock‐breaking patterns and performance of the HPC method are obtained, and the auxiliary rock‐breaking mechanism of water jet grooving is revealed.

Robust Control Using a Matrix Converter to Enhance Wind Turbine Systems
This study uses a more efficient and effective solution to improve the operational performance of a wind turbine‐based power system. This system uses a doubly fed induction generator and relies on a matrix converter and fractional‐order proportional–integral controller.

The number of DG systems like Photovoltaic and Wind Energy Systems are now penetrating more into the conventional power system. In microgrids, loads and generators are in the close vicinity. However, due to the unpredictable nature of non-conventional energy resources like wind and solar with varying loads, it is almost impossible to maintain an ...

The proposed hybrid osprey‐salp swarm optimization algorithm addresses optimal power flow (OPF) problems in smart grids incorporating solar, hydro, and thermal generators. The algorithm is validated on Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers 30‐, 57‐, and 118‐bus test systems across five single and multiobjective OPF scenarios.
