The presence of uncertainity issue in harmonics elimination is due to nonlinear loads. Filters can be used to eliminate the harmonics and power quality issues.

A power quality disturbance classification method based on PQ transform and αβ transform analysis
2008 3rd IEEE Conference on Industrial Electronics and Applications, 2008This paper first analyzes the PQ Transform and alphabeta Transform of some normal power quality disturbances and then proposes four characteristic indexes which can be used to classify 5 single disturbances and 6 mixed disturbances exactly. The algorithm is simple and easy to be implemented by hardware.
