LNA for Low-Power, Low Data Rate PAN Applications [PDF]
In this paper a common-gate LNA is presented, which is used in a low-power IEEE 802.15.4 receiver with severer requirements on the current consumption. The LNA is designed in a 0.25 μm CMOS technology and consumes only 831 μA.

ABSTRACT Background Patients with chronic kidney disease undergoing hemodialysis commonly experience reduced physical function, fatigue, poor sleep quality, and impaired health‐related quality of life. Intradialytic exercise has been proposed as a non‐pharmacological strategy to improve these outcomes.

Transmission Power Rate Control for EHD With Temporal and Complete Deaths
This paper proposes a continuous-time communication model of an energy harvesting device (EHD) in the scenario that such EHD suffers from the temporal death caused by the energy depletion and completion death caused by the destruction of its hardware or ...

ABSTRACT Background Maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients frequently suffer from frailty, characterized by reduced physical function and poor prognosis. Myokines, such as myonectin, secreted by muscle, are emerging regulators of systemic health. This study investigated the relationship between serum myonectin, adipokines (adiponectin, omentin), and ...

The Discriminative Power of Rating Functions
We discuss different measures of the discriminative power of rating functions to examine the forecast strength of ratings. Besides the measures discussed in the literature, we also consider stochastic dominance to evaluate rating functions. We apply these criteria to compare empirically the ratings of Standard & Poor’s and Moody’s Investors Service ...

ABSTRACT Background Chronic micro‐inflammation in patients with end‐stage renal disease (ESRD) is a significant driver of cardiovascular complications and diminished quality of life. While standard hemodialysis (SHD) effectively manages small‐molecule clearance, its ability to remove medium‐to‐large uremic toxins—the primary catalysts of systemic ...

Improving power ramp rate of a coal-fired power plant by a bypass steam accumulator
The increasing penetration of high-volatility renewable energy sources in the power system presents higher demands for flexibility from coal-fired power plant (CFPP). To enhance the flexibility of CFPPs, researchers have conducted a significant amount of
