Low power energy recovery clock
2014 International Conference on Communication and Signal Processing, 2014The clock distribution circuit dissipates a significant portion of total power in today's processors. Thus, there is a great opportunity for reduction of power in the clock distribution circuit. The energy recovery technique proves to be a most appropriate approach in such a condition. This paper uses energy recovery technique for the recovery of power

Fast Recovery Power Epitaxial Diode
2012 IEEE Ninth Electronics, Robotics and Automotive Mechanics Conference, 2012Several diode designs to satisfy specific needs of quick response and power, this paper examines the arguments of a design that is economical in terms of manufacturing process but to improve the requirements of the few devices on the market with these characteristics (reverse breakdown voltage of 600V and reverse recovery time of 35ns).

Slip Power Recovery System Stability
IEEE Industry Applications Magazine, 1995A slip power recovery configuration provides an attractive alternative for variable speed drives and generating systems, due to its improved efficiency and low power converter rating. The core component is the doubly-excited machine. First, the authors present a stability analysis of the doubly-excited machine with open-loop voltage control and open ...

The thermal efficiency of a Carnot cycle is limited by the maximum and minimum temperatures available. The construction of LNG (liquid natural gas) terminals and the need to vaporize LNG offers a cooling source at a very much lower temperature than sea water.

Rapid recovery of power output in females
Acta Physiologica Scandinavica, 1998The purpose of the present study was to examine whether the magnitude of the changes in the concentration of muscle metabolites influences the recovery of power output following shortâterm maximal intensity cycle exercise performed at different average pedalling rates.

Power-System Voltage-Recovery Characteristics
Transactions of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, 1939WITH the increased use of protector tubes, a thorough knowledge of the recovery voltages to which they may be subjected has become highly desirable. The current range over which a tube can be expected to function successfully is necessarily dependent on the voltage recovery characteristics of the system in which the tube is applied.

Harmonic analysis of slip-power recovery drives
IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, 1992A method of evaluating harmonic currents and voltages associated with slip power recovery drives is presented. The rectifier commutation overlap and DC link current ripple are included in the analysis by using a hybrid between the traditional d-q and a-b-c induction motor models. The harmonic components are determined from closed-form expressions which

A power recovery strategy dedicated to implantable applications
10th IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Circuits and Systems, 2003. ICECS 2003. Proceedings of the 2003, 2004We present in this paper a power recovery strategy dedicated to the biotelemetry application of cortical/nerve stimulation. The proposed strategy allows providing dual regulated output voltages 3.3V/1.8V to the electrodes driver and other implantable circuitry, respectively. Its low dropout voltage makes a high power efficiency attainable.

Power transformer waste heat recovery system
Journal of Heat Recovery Systems, 1986Large power transformers such as used at electrical generating plants utilize oil for cooling with the heat removed by air cooled radiators. Several air cooled radiators are removed from the transformers and the oil circulated through plate heat exchangers which provide a heat transfer path to a fluid cooling medium such as water.

Generalized optimization slip power recovery drives
IEEE Transactions on Energy Conversion, 1990A generalized method for predicting the optimized performance of the doubly fed induction motor controlled by a voltage phasor at the rotor side, at any load conditions in slip power recovery drives, in the steady state is presented. The equations describing the model of the optimally controlled drive are deduced in terms either of the voltage phasor ...
