Interfacial Contact Engineering Enables Giant‐Performance Semiconductor Nanomembrane Optoelectronic Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work investigates modifying interfacial contacts in realizing giant‐performance semiconductor nanomembrane optoelectronics. Strategies, including surface reaction and buffer layer work‐function modulation, are explored to boost the Schottky barrier. An emerging material of YbOx is utilized for near‐ideal Ohmic contact.

Assessment of Radio-Frequency Radiation Exposure Level from Selected Mobile Base Stations (MBS) in Lokoja, Kogi State, Nigeria [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2012
The acquisition and use of mobile phone is tremendously increasing especially in developing countries, but not without a concern. The greater concern among the public is principally over the proximity of mobile base stations (MBS) to residential areas rather than the use of handsets.

Distributed Coordination of Charging Stations Considering Aggregate EV Power Flexibility [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
In recent years, electric vehicle (EV) charging stations have witnessed a rapid growth. However, effective management of charging stations is challenging due to individual EV owners' privacy concerns, competing interests of different stations, and the coupling distribution network constraints.

Advanced Micro‐OLED Integration on Thin and Flexible Polymer Neural Probes for Targeted Optogenetic Stimulation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This paper introduces a flexible neural probe with integrated micro‐OLEDs on a flexible substrate for the first time, featuring 8 micro‐OLEDs and recording electrodes for optogenetics. It uses advanced encapsulation and an IAI anode for durability, emitting 470 nm light for ChR2 activation, enabling high‐resolution, minimally invasive stimulation ...

Millimeter Wave Power Transfer and Information Transmission [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
Compared to the existing lower frequency wireless power transfer, millimeter wave (mmWave) power transfer takes advantage of the high-dimensional multi-antenna and narrow beam transmission. In this paper we introduce wireless power transfer for mmWave cellular networks.

Toward Multiple Integrated Sensing and Communication Base Station Systems: Collaborative Precoding Design with Power Constraint [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
The collaborative sensing of multiple Integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) base stations is one of the important technologies to achieve intelligent transportation. Interference elimination between ISAC base stations is the prerequisite for realizing collaborative sensing. In this paper, we focus on the mutual interference elimination problem in

Improving the Capacity Retention of Poly(vinylphenothiazine) as Battery Electrode Material by Pore Size Engineering of Porous N‐Doped Carbon Nanospheres as Conductive Additive

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
By using (meso)porous N‐doped carbon nanospheres with tailored intraparticle porosity and constant particle size as conductive carbon in PVMPT‐based organic battery electrodes, the complete volume of the carbon is accessible for the immobilization of PVMPT, resulting in high accessible specific capacities while maintaining a good rate capability and ...
