Out-of-Band Radiation Measure for MIMO Arrays with Beamformed Transmission

open access: yes, 2015
The spatial characteristics of the out-of-band radiation that a multiuser MIMO system emits in the environment, due to its power amplifiers (modeled by a polynomial model) are nonlinear, is studied by deriving an analytical expression for the continuous ...

Enhancing Mechanical Deformability of Rigid Conjugated Polymers through Functional Additive‐Induced Persistence Length Modulation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates a molecular strategy to enhance the stretchability of conjugated polymers by incorporating plasticizing molecular additives (PMAs). PMAs reduce the persistence length and promote chain entanglement, enabling deformable thin films with preserved electrical performance. A systematic analysis combining rheology, neutron scattering,

Photovoltaic power modules for NASA's manned space station [PDF]

open access: yes
The capability and the safety of manned spacecraft are largely dependent upon reliable electric power systems. Two similar space power systems able to survive the low Earth orbit environment, are being considered for NASA's Manned Space Station (SS ...

Carbon‐Based Flexible Electrode for Efficient Electrochemical Generation of Reactive Chlorine Species in Tumor Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A flexible electrode loaded with a carbon nanowire network (CC@C‐NWN) is developed for electrochemically generating reactive chlorine species (RCS) from abundant chloride ions in body fluids for tumor therapy. CC@C‐NWN enhances chlorine evolution, inducing redox dysregulation and synergistic apoptosis‐ferroptosis in tumor cells.

Supramolecular Chemistry in Metal–Organic Framework Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This review highlights synergies between reticular chemistry and supramolecular chemistry. The role of supramolecular interactions in determining framework…guest interactions and attempts to understand dynamic behavior in metal–organic frameworks (MOFs), particularly emphasizing the development of crystal sponges, studying reactions in frameworks and ...

Applicability of 100kWe-class of space reactor power systems to NASA manned space station missions [PDF]

open access: yes
An assessment is made of a manned space station operating with sufficiently high power demands to require a multihundred kilowatt range electrical power system. The nuclear reactor is a competitor for supplying this power level. Load levels were selected
