Systemic dysregulation of apolipoproteins in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis serum
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a fatal disease that damages motor neurons. This study found that people with ALS show significant changes in blood fats and the proteins that carry them. Several apolipoproteins were higher, lipid balances were altered, and normal protein–lipid relationships were disrupted.

Thermal state parameter prediction method of 110 kV transformer based on multimodal deep learning
Owing to the limitations of testing methods and the inaccuracy of knowledge, the obtained power transformer information is characterized by fuzziness and randomness, which leads to a lack of accurate description of transformer internal coupling ...

Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Research on wideband acoustic imaging method based on sparse Bayesian learning
In response to the low accuracy of acoustic imaging with small microphone arrays, an acoustic imaging approach is proposed based on Sparse Bayesian Learning. A two-layer conjugate prior structure is built to model the signal.

A laser point cloud and BIM-integrated simulation method for tension stringing of transmission lines
In response to the safety hazards and various collision risks inherent in traditional transmission line tension stringing construction, this paper proposes a 3D real-scene simulation method for tension stringing based on the integration of laser point ...

Mass spectrometry based identification of AMP‐O‐Tris generated by Thermococcus onnurineus Cas10
Isolated Thermococcus onnurineus Cas10 generates the noncanonical ATP‐derived product AMP‐O‐Tris while in Tris‐containing buffer as identified via mass spectrometry, revealing relaxed nucleophile selectivity under isolated conditions. These findings suggest that multiprotein Csm complex assembly restricts Cas10 reactivity toward canonical cyclic ...

Sexual orientation and household decision making. Same-sex couples' balance of power and labor supply choices [PDF]
I estimate how intra-household bargaining affects gay and lesbian couples¿ labor supplies, investigating their similarity to heterosexual decision-making, in a collective household framework.
