A Scene Knowledge Integrating Network for Transmission Line Multi-Fitting Detection

open access: yesSensors
Aiming at the severe occlusion problem and the tiny-scale object problem in the multi-fitting detection task, the Scene Knowledge Integrating Network (SKIN), including the scene filter module (SFM) and scene structure information module (SSIM) is ...

Review of through-type power supply system for electrified railways

open access: yes机车电传动, 2022
With the gradual expansion of the scale of China electrified railways, electrical phase separation and power quality problems have become the main shackles restricting the further development of China electrified railways. The through-type traction power

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Investigating the input power quality of multi-pulse AC-DC power converter fed induction motor drives

open access: yesHeliyon, 2022
Optimization of supply current total harmonic distortion (THD) of multi-pulse AC-DC power converter fed induction motor drive (IMD) is always a challenging issue. Higher amount of supply current THD degrades the input power quality of IMD.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Automated metering and power quality systems in power supply systems

open access: yesBulletin of the National Technical University "KhPI". Series: Energy: Reliability and Energy Efficiency, 2021
The article shows that the data of the collected by the automated commercial electricity metering systems are an ensemble of daily realizations of random processes of power consumption of the power supply system. The main purpose of using automated systems of commercial and technical electricity metering is to reduce power consumption.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Comparing the Potential of Near- and Mid-Infrared Spectroscopy in Determining the Freshness of Strawberry Powder from Freshly Available and Stored Strawberry

open access: yesJournal of Analytical Methods in Chemistry, 2019
The quality of strawberry powder depends on the freshness of the fruit that produces the powder. Therefore, identifying whether the strawberry powder is made from freshly available, short-term stored, or long-term stored strawberries is important to ...
