ASDEX UPGRADE POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM

1986
ASDEX Upgrade, the successor to the ASDEX device, is a new tokamak now under construction at Garching [1]. This experiment has a reactor-like divertor with the divertor coils located outside the toroidal field coils. This makes the power and energy requirements high since the total number of ampere-turns of the multipole coils increases approximately ...

Power supplies for coaxial systems

Electrical Engineering, 1949
TYPE “L” BROAD-BAND carrier telephone systems over coaxial cables require repeaters spaced every eight miles or less along the cables. The large number of repeaters involved makes it desirable to transmit 60-cycle power from main and terminal stations to auxiliary repeaters over the same coaxials as used for carrier transmission.

Optimization of pulsed laser power supply system

SPIE Proceedings, 1991
The design criteria of pulsed laser power supply are examined. The components examined are the power supply, the pulse forming network, and the triggering circuit. In addition, the optimization and mathematical modeling of this system was achieved.

Uninterruptible-power-supply systems

Electronics and Power, 1982
Any electrically powered system is only as reliable as the supply which feeds it. This article reviews the types of uninterruptible-power-supply systems available to ensure a reliable, continuous supply to vital ...

Distributed power systems (telecommunication power supply)

10th International Telecommunications Energy Conference, 2003
The author examines the application of distributed power supplies for telephone exchange loads in the range of 200-4800 A. The traditional central supply (locally termed the Integrated Power Suite or IPS) by comparison is seen to be deficient in areas of floor area requirements and flexibility. A cost comparison further shows the deficiency of IPS. The

Uninterruptible Power Supply Systems

2010
Recently, there has been a sharp increase in a number of so-called critical equipment of electrical power. Both separated units and complex objects, whose normal operation is strongly influenced by the parameters of electrical power, are included in this equipment.

On Uninterruptible DC Power Supply Systems

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1983
Abstract The major disadvantages of uninterruptible d.c. power supply systems in present use are either an unequal loading of individual sources or dependence on a separate control block or a dominant unit. A new redundant-type configuration featuring a feedback-controlled current sharing is proposed.
