On Impedance Matching in a Power-Line-Communication System
IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II: Express Briefs, 2016Impedance matching plays an important role in a power-line-communication system. We investigate the effect on the signal-to-noise ratio at the receiver and on the system capacity of three different impedance matching criteria at the transmitter, assuming broad-band communication.

Power Control Algorithms for Satellite Communication Systems
IEEE Transactions on Communications, 1976Three different ground terminal transmit power control concepts for a Satcom system are examined. The effectiveness of constant satellite power (CSP) sharing among the carriers and adaptive satellite power (ASP) sharing is compared with constant ground terminal transmit power (CTP).

Power-Aware Communication Systems
2002Battery-operated systems usually operate as part of larger networks where they wirelessly communicate with other systems. Conventional techniques for low-power design, with their focus on circuits and computation logic in a system, are at best inadequate for such networked systems. The reason is two fold. First, the energy cost associated with wireless

Communications scheme of a modular power conversion system
2015 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (ICIT), 2015Power systems are step by step increasing its complexity in order to fulfill the requirements of current energy scenario. An interesting option is to use power systems formed by the connection of multiple power converters working to achieve a common objective.

Nuclear Power Systems for Advanced High-Powered Communications Satellites
Communications Satellite Systems Conference, 1966Abstract A survey is presented of the nuclear power systems which are considered to be most suitable for advanced, high-powered communications satellites and which can be available in the 1970-75 time period. The general criteria for communication satellite power systems are discussed and candidate power systems which might be expected to meet these ...
