Fault calculations in power system subject to multiple faults

[1990] Proceedings. The Twenty-Second Southeastern Symposium on System Theory, 2002
Techniques for considering multiple faults at different locations in a three-phase electrical power system are discussed. The faults may be completely user defined; e.g. a single phase-to-ground fault may be specified on any phase and at any combination of locations.

Power System Fault Diagnosis Method Summary

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014
Combined with the power system fault diagnosis current situation, fault diagnosis methods are important to shorten fault outage time, prevent accident expanding and restore power quickly. We summed up expert system, artificial neural network, Petri network and Bayesian network fault diagnosis methods.

AUTOMATIC FAULT DISCRIMINATION FOR POWER SYSTEMS

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2007
Abstract Abstract This work is concerning with the problem of determinate if a fault has been originated in a subsystem of a electric network or in somewhere else. This problem is motivated for the legal aspect related to co-generation systems. To solve the problem an approach based on analytical redundancy is proposed.

Fault tolerance in distributed power systems

IV IEEE International Power Electronics Congress. Technical Proceedings. CIEP 95, 2002
The demand for continuously available information processing systems increases every day. Transaction processing, communications systems, and critical processes all require nonstop, fault tolerant operation. There are four steps to achieving fault tolerance in any system. However, no system will operate without a supply of electrical power.

Fault Tolerant Photovoltaic Power System

2013
Photovoltaic (pv) power systems less reliable component is their power interface, which usually includes a dc-dc converter due to its low dc output voltage. Therefore, fault-tolerant strategies applied to their power interfaces are mandatory. Redundancy is the most common fault-tolerant strategy, but it increases the system costs without necessarily ...

Fault diagnosis in fluid power systems

Engineering Simulation, 1996
Algorithms for fault detection and isolation (FDI) based on the use of mathematical models are becoming a powerful addition to many fluid power control systems. Many useful methods have been proposed but the great majority of these are based on the use of linear models.
