Modifying Glucose Metabolism Reverses Memory Defects of Alzheimer's Disease Model at Late Stages

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Using spatial transcriptomics, we show that ferul enanthate (SL‐ZF‐01) reverses episodic‐like memory deficits in aged, but not young, Alzheimer’s disease (AD) mice. SL restores glucose metabolism and Glucose Transporter 1/3 expression via an ‘Aging‐AD‐Rescue’ pattern, rescuing deficits seen in aged AD mice.

An Ultrathin, Cyano‐Functionalized Copolymeric Memristor by iCVD Process for Driving Convolutional Neural Networks of High‐Resolution Images

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Two‐terminal polymer memristors based on cyano‐functionalized copolymer films are developed via a solvent‐free, initiated chemical vapor deposition (iCVD) process for high‐resolution image classification. Molecularly engineered p(CEA‐co‐DEGDVE) films enable stable, linear, and symmetric conductance modulation, supporting multi‐level weight mapping in ...

Near‐Field Acoustic Imaging Using Fiber‐Optic Distributed Acoustic Sensing and Beamforming Techniques

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work introduces a beamforming‐based method to generate acoustic images from fiber‐optic distributed acoustic sensing (DAS) data. By performing 2D scanning around the sensing fiber, the approach enables near‐field imaging and localization of acoustic sources, even in regions distant from the fiber. A data‐driven DAS channel selection improves image

Dissolution Study of Biodegradable Magnesium Silicide Thin Films for Transient Electronic Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Magnesium silicide (Mg2Si) is introduced as a narrow‐bandgap, biodegradable semiconductor for transient electronics. RF‐sputtered and annealed Mg2Si thin films show high intrinsic electrical conductivity and low thermal conductivity. The polycrystalline material undergoes hydrolysis in aquatic and composting environments with minimal cytotoxicity ...

Rib‐Reinforced Ultralight and Ultra‐Strong Shell Lattices

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study thoroughly reveals the relation between the curvature and stress direction of triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) thin shell lattices and proposes a novel rib reinforcement design strategy to incorporate ribs along the line of asymptotes (LOA) and the line of principal curvatures (LOC) to enhance the strength of ultralight TPMS shell ...
