Simulation of a Power Regulation System for Steam Power Plants

open access: yesEnergy Procedia, 2014
AbstractRenewable energy sources, presently constituting about 23% of the total Italian power production, are featured by very discontinuous supply during the day that, to avoid grid malfunctions, must be compensated by fossil fuelled power plants. The latter must hence be able to rapidly control power supply. This paper proposes a power regulation ...

Day-ahead and intra-day two-stage low-carbon economic scheduling method considering multi-form energy-intensive load

open access: yesFrontiers in Energy Research, 2023
To solve the problem of the large gap in the regulation resources of the power system due to the large number of wind power connected to the grid and to help achieve the strategic energy goal of “carbon neutrality and carbon peaking,” the demand-side ...

Dynamic Reactive Power Allocation Method of Power Grid with High-Permeability PV Considering Transient Voltage Stability

open access: yesEnergies
In order to solve the risk of transient voltage instability caused by the increasing proportion of new energy represented by photovoltaic (PV) and dynamic load in the power grid, a dynamic reactive power compensation device configuration method with high-

Co-optimization and benefit allocation mechanism of DSO-VPP under the secondary flexibility market based on SPP

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems
In modern power systems with large-scale renewable energy (RE) integration, regulating capacity is increasingly scarce. Its cost rises significantly, creating an urgent need for all market participants to share RE consumption responsibilities. This paper

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Bi-Level Optimal Dispatch of Regional Water–Energy Nexus System Considering Flexible Regulation Potential of Seawater Desalination Plants

open access: yesEnergies
The continuous increase in the penetration rate of renewable energy has posed severe challenges to the flexibility of power systems, especially in coastal and island areas where local power supply is insufficient while electricity demand keeps growing ...

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...
