DC‐side stability analysis of grid‐tied converter with different control modes based on electrical torque analysis

open access: yesIET Energy Systems Integration
The DC‐side stability of the grid‐tied converter under different control modes is fully investigated using electrical torque analysis. The small‐signal model of a single converter connected to an ideal DC bus under various control modes is formulated ...

Enzymatic degradation of biopolymers in amorphous and molten states: mechanisms and applications

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This review explains how polymer morphology and thermal state shape enzymatic degradation pathways, comparing amorphous and molten biopolymer structures. By integrating structure–reactivity principles with insights from thermodynamics and enzyme engineering, it highlights mechanisms that enable efficient polymer breakdown.

Power system stabilizer control for wind power to enhance power system stability

open access: yes, 2011
The paper presents a small signal stability analysis for power systems with wind farm interaction. Power systems have damping oscillation modes that can be excited by disturbance or fault in the grid. The power converters of the wind farms can be used to reduce these oscillations and make the system more stable.

Tumor‐stromal crosstalk and macrophage enrichment are associated with chemotherapy response in bladder cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Chemoresistance in bladder cancer: Macrophage recruitment associated with CXCL1, CXCL5 and CXCL8 expression is characteristic of Gemcitabine/Cisplatin (Gem/Cis) Non‐Responder tumors (right side) while Responder tumors did not show substantial tumor‐stromal crosstalk (left side). All biological icons are attributed to Bioicons: carcinoma, cancerous‐cell‐

Estimating the region of attraction of wind integrated power systems based on improved expanding interior algorithm

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission & Distribution
This paper proposes an improved expanding interior algorithm (EIA) to estimate the region of attraction (ROA) of power systems with wind power generation based on sum of squares (SOS) programming.

Computer-Aided Modeling and Analysis of Power Processing Systems (CAMAPPS), phase 1 [PDF]

open access: yes
The large-signal behaviors of a regulator depend largely on the type of power circuit topology and control. Thus, for maximum flexibility, it is best to develop models for each functional block a independent modules. A regulator can then be configured by

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐
