Novel transmission power selection method in transmission power control

2010 3rd IEEE International Conference on Broadband Network and Multimedia Technology (IC-BNMT), 2010
Transmission power control (TPC) has been studied as communication technique for reducing energy consumption in wireless sensor network. Most of all TPC algorithms have an inherent problem such as packet loss, retransmission, because it have been considered only sensitivity.

Fair Variable Transmission Power Control

IEEE GLOBECOM 2007-2007 IEEE Global Telecommunications Conference, 2007
Despite its success in saving energy and increasing spatial reuse, the use of variable transmission power control in wireless multihop networks has consequences to fairness. We study a variant of the hidden terminal problem resulting from link asymmetries, and its impact on expected node throughput. We give a model relating the transmission power level

Transmission series power flow control

Proceedings of IEEE/PES Transmission and Distribution Conference, 1995
This paper presents the characteristics of two gate turn-off (GTO) thyristor voltage-sourced inverter-based series power flow control devices, namely the series power flow controller (SPFC) and the unified power flow controller (UPFC). These devices represent series extensions of the STATCON, an inverter-based shunt device developed under a tailored ...

Transmission control for power-shift agricultural tractors

Proceedings of the 2010 American Control Conference, 2010
This paper addresses the analysis and design of the transmission control system for a high-power power-shift agricultural tractor. Specifically, all the criticalities involved with the correct management of both single and double gear shifts are investigated, and a control system capable of providing good shifting performance in all operating ...

LQ-power Consistent Control: Leveraging Transmission Power Selection in Control Systems

2020 European Control Conference (ECC), 2020
We consider a linear control system, where the sensors communicate to the controller via a wireless network in which the probability of successful data transmissions is an increasing function of the selected radio signal power. We tackle the problem of jointly selecting the transmission power at every transmission time as a function of the state, much ...

Transmission power control techniques for wireless sensor networks

Computer Networks, 2007
Communication is usually the most energy-consuming event in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). One way to significantly reduce energy consumption is applying transmission power control (TPC) techniques to dynamically adjust the transmission power. This article presents two new TPC techniques for WSNs.

Measurement transmission in power control centers

[1991 Proceedings] 6th Mediterranean Electrotechnical Conference, 2002
A protocol is presented for reducing the impact of repetitively sending many values. The results of its application to an actual system are presented. These results can be extended to other distributed control systems. >

Efficient High Power Amplifiers with Transmission Power Control Function

29th European Microwave Conference, 1999, 1999
A new switchless scheme of transmission power control (TPC) function for high power amplifiers (HPAs) is proposed. Ku-band amplifier MMICs that followed this scheme were fabricated and tested. The amplifier MMICs and transmission lines instead of switches were used to construct the HPAwhich has TPC function by switching two amplifiers.
