Fault classification on transmission line of 10kV rural power grid [PDF]
This paper proposes a technique using Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) and Back-Propagation Neural Network (BPNN) to identify the fault types on transmission line of 10kv rural power grid. The PSCAD is used to simulate fault signals. The mother wavelet daubechies4 (db4) is employed to decompose high frequency component from these signals.

Transmission Line Fault Classification of Multi-Dataset Using CatBoost Classifier
Transmission line fault classification forms the basis of fault protection management in power systems. Because faults have adverse effects on transmission lines, adequate measures must be implemented to avoid power outages.

Arcing Faults Location Methods for Power Transmission Lines
This paper presents three different fault location approaches: one-end Takagi algorithm, two-end algorithm considering natural fault loops and neural network. It is assumed that three-phase voltages and currents from both ends of the line measured asynchronously are the input signals of the fault locator.

An Effective EMTR-Based High-Impedance Fault Location Method for Transmission Lines
This paper summarizes the electromagnetic time reversal (EMTR) technique for fault location, and further numerically validates its effectiveness when the fault impedance is negligible. In addition, a specific EMTR model considering the fault impedance is
