A Review and Taxonomy on Fault Analysis in Transmission Power Systems
Enhancing resiliency in a power grid system is one of the core mandates of electrical distribution companies to provide high-level service. The power resiliency research community has proposed numerous schemes, to detect, classify, and localize fault events.

CAUSES OF INDEFINITE FAULTS IN ESTONIAN 110 kV OVERHEAD POWER GRID; pp. 225–243 [PDF]
The study considers causes of indefinite faults in the 110 kV overÂhead power grid in Estonia. The number of indefinite faults (flashovers on overÂhead line insulators) has increased significantly in the last years, causing a lot of problems to the ...

Fault classification on transmission line of 10kV rural power grid [PDF]
This paper proposes a technique using Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) and Back-Propagation Neural Network (BPNN) to identify the fault types on transmission line of 10kv rural power grid. The PSCAD is used to simulate fault signals. The mother wavelet daubechies4 (db4) is employed to decompose high frequency component from these signals.
