On the number of integers which form perfect powers in the way of $ x(y_1^2+y_2^2+y_3^2+y_4^2) = z^k $

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics
Let $ k \geqslant 2 $ be an integer. We studied the number of integers which form perfect $ k $-th powers in the way of $ x(y_1^2+y_2^2+y_3^2+y_4^2) = z^k.

Integrated genomic and proteomic profiling reveals insights into chemoradiation resistance in cervical cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A comprehensive genomic and proteomic analysis of cervical cancer revealed STK11 and STX3 as a potential biomarkers of chemoradiation resistance. Our study demonstrated EGFR as a therapeutic target, paving the way for precision strategies to overcome treatment failure and the DNA repair pathway as a critical mechanism of resistance.

In vitro properties of patient serum predict clinical outcome after high dose rate brachytherapy of hepatocellular carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Following high dose rate brachytherapy (HDR‐BT) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), patients were classified as responders and nonresponders. Post‐therapy serum induced increased BrdU incorporation and Cyclin E expression of Huh7 and HepG2 cells in nonresponders, but decreased levels in responders.

Arithmetic properties for Andrews’ (48,6)- and (48,18)-singular overpartitions

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2019
Singular overpartition functions were defined by Andrews. Let Ck,i(n) denote the number of (k, i)-singular overpartitions of n, which counts the number of overpartitions of n in which no part is divisible by k and only parts ±i (mod k) may be overlined ...

Feasibility of a ctDNA multigenic panel for non‐small‐cell lung cancer early detection and disease surveillance

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Plasma‐based detection of actionable mutations is a promising approach in lung cancer management. Analysis of ctDNA with a multigene NGS panel identified TP53, KRAS, and EGFR as the most frequently altered, with TP53 and KRAS in treatment‐naïve patients and TP53 and EGFR in previously treated patients.

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

The effect of calcium salts on air-void structure in air-entrained concrete – a statistical and simulated study

open access: yesScience and Engineering of Composite Materials, 2017
This paper analyzed the air-void system in air-entrained concrete in the presence of calcium salts and developed a new approach method, random “parking” method, for studying it. The foam index test studied indicated that the introduction of calcium salts
