Topological Structures of Energy Flow: Poynting Vector Skyrmions
Topological properties of energy flow of light are fundamentally interesting and have rich practical applications in optical manipulations. Here, skyrmion-like structures formed by Poynting vectors are unveiled in the focal region of a pair of counter-propagating cylindrical vector vortex beams in free space.

Poynting vector, super-Poynting vector, and principal observers in electromagnetism and general relativity [PDF]
Abstract In electromagnetism, the concept of Poynting vector as measured by an observer is well known. A mathematical analogue in general relativity is the super-Poynting vector of the Weyl tensor. Observers for which the (super-)Poynting vector vanishes are called principal

A sheath impedance model has recently been developed to describe how the variable coupling impedance between the Van Allen Probes instrumentation and the ambient plasma affects both the amplitude and phase of electric field wave measurements.

Complex Poynting vector in gyromagnetic media and its impact on power flow in guided modes
In this paper, we show the relation between the time-varying spinning nature of the instantaneous Poynting vector and the phasor form of the complex Poynting vector in the bulk of the gyromagnetic medium.

Angle-Weighted Reverse Time Migration With Wavefield Decomposition Based on the Optical Flow Vector
Reverse time migration (RTM) is based on the two-way wave equation, so its imaging results obtained by conventional zero-lag cross-correlation imaging conditions contain a lot of low-wavenumber noises.

Poynting vector controversy in axion modified electrodynamics
The most sensitive haloscopes that search for axion dark matter through the two photon electromagnetic anomaly, convert axions into photons through the mixing of axions with a large DC magnetic field.

Full-Vectorial Light Propagation Simulation of Optimized Beams in Scattering Media
Volumetric scattering prevents imaging modalities in biomedical optics from imaging deep inside tissue. The optimization of the incident wavefront has the potential to improve these imaging modalities.
