Wave Propagation in Non‐Uniform Media by Linear Expansion of the Refraction Law

ABSTRACT The propagation of mechanical waves in an unbounded, non‐uniform medium can be described by using curvilinear coordinates centered at the source position. The Frenet coordinate system, with origin on a point riding a wave, is used as a basis for the curvilinear coordinates.

Declining Trends in Gastrointestinal Parasitic Infections Among Nepalese School Children: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis (2004–2022)

This meta‐analysis of 25 studies (17,628 children) shows a substantial decline in gastrointestinal parasitic infections in Nepal from 43.4% to 24.2% between 2004 and 2022. The dipeptidyl peptidase IV (DPPIV) family comprises serine proteases classically defined by their ability to remove dipeptides from the N‐termini of substrates, a feature that gave the family its name. Here, we report the discovery of a previously unrecognized tripeptidyl peptidase activity in DPPIV family members from two different species.

This study characterises carbonate mineral precipitation mechanisms and their paleoenvironmental implications in a semi‐arid, saline playa lake system. SEM image with EDS spectra shows microcrystalline, spherical shaped dolomite crystals from Laguna Fuente de Piedra composed of nanocrystals with bacterial voids and EPS.
