Green options for anti-corrosion of high strength concrete incorporating ternary pozzolan materials
This paper applied the densified mixture design algorithm(DMDA) method by incorporating ternary pozzolans (fly ash, slag and silica fume; mix I and mix II) to design high strength concrete (HSC) mixtures with w/cm ratios from 0.24 to 0.30.

Evaluation of electric properties of cement mortars containing pozzolans
In this paper the evolution of the microstructure of Portland cement mortar is analyzed, by using electrical impedance measurements. Cement mortars are compared without and with two pozzolanic substitutions: spent fluid catalytic cracking catalyst (FCC ...

Monitoring the reduction in shrinkage cracking of mortars containing superabsorbent polymers [PDF]
Ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC) is characterized by a low water-to-cement ratio, leading to improved durability and mechanical properties. However, the risk for autogenous shrinkage and cracking due to restrained shrinkage increases, which may ...

Sustainable infrastructure development through use of calcined excavated waste clay as a supplementary cementitious material [PDF]
Major infrastructure development projects in London produce large quantities of London clay and use significant volumes of concrete. Portland cement (CEM I) in concrete is normally partially replaced by supplementary cementitious materials such as ground

Transformation of a Silicate Material for Carbon Negative Magnesia‐Based Cement via Electrochemistry
The transformation of a magnesium trisilicate material via water electrolysis into precursor phases necessary for magnesium‐based M‐S‐H cement is explored. The dissolution of the material mediated electrochemically is monitored, and the analysis of the resulting phases indicate their suitability as effective precursors for M‐S‐H cement.
