Identification of a human cytomegalovirus mutant in the pp150 matrix phosphoprotein gene with a growth-defective phenotype

open access: yesJournal of General Virology, 1993
Following amplification by PCR of a portion of the matrix phosphoprotein pp150 gene, electrophoretic analysis revealed the simultaneous presence of two viral variants of human cytomegalovirus in the blood of a heart transplant recipient. Repeated denaturation-annealing cycles during the amplification reaction led to the formation of heteroduplex ...

Detection of cytomegalovirus antibodies by an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay using recombinant polypeptides of the large phosphorylated tegument protein pp150 [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Microbiology, 1992
Parts of the large phosphorylated tegument protein, pp150, of human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) were expressed in bacteria. The resulting fusion proteins were tested in a Western blot (immunoblot) assay for reactivity with a monoclonal antibody against pp150, with a polyspecific rabbit antiserum, and with human reconvalescent-phase sera.

Human cytomegalovirus tegument protein pp150 acts as a cyclin A2–CDK-dependent sensor of the host cell cycle and differentiation state [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, 2013
Significance Depending on the host cell type and differentiation status, herpesviruses establish different modes of infection to either maintain or replicate their genomes. How viruses discriminate between individual host cell environments upon infection is poorly understood.

人巨细胞病毒pp150-pp65蛋白的表达与应用

open access: yesZhongguo shiyan zhenduanxue, 2012

Different capsid-binding patterns of the β-herpesvirus-specific tegument protein pp150 (pM32/pUL32) in murine and human cytomegaloviruses [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
AbstractThe phosphoprotein pp150 is a structurally, immunogenically, and regulatorily important capsid-associated tegument protein abundant in β-herpesviruses including cytomegaloviruses (CMV), but absent in α-herpesviruses and Γ-herpesviruses. In human CMV (HCMV), bridging across each triplex and three adjacent major capsid proteins (MCPs) is a group ...
