Parity Violation in Proton-Proton Scattering at 221 MeV

open access: yes, 2001
The parity-violating longitudinal analyzing power, Az, has been measured in pp elastic scattering at an incident proton energy of 221 MeV. The result obtained is Az =(0.84 +/- 0.29 (stat.) +/- 0.17 (syst.)) x 10^{-7}. This experiment is unique in that it

Study of the D 0 p amplitude in Λ b 0  → D 0 pπ − decays

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2017
An amplitude analysis of the decay Λ b 0  → D 0 pπ − is performed in the part of the phase space containing resonances in the D 0 p channel. The study is based on a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0 fb−1 of pp collisions ...

Sensitivity on anomalous neutral triple gauge couplings via ZZ production at FCC-hh

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2020
We study the sensitivity of anomalous neutral triple gauge couplings (aNTGC) via $$pp \rightarrow ZZ$$ pp→ZZ production in the 4$$\ell $$ ℓ channel at 100 TeV center of mass energy of future circular hadron collider, FCC-hh.

Data describing the poor outcome associated with a breast cancer diagnosis in the post-weaning period

open access: yesData in Brief, 2021
Postpartum breast cancer (PPBC) - which according to new data, can extend to 5–10 years after the birth - are estimated to represent 35–55% of all cases of breast cancer in women younger than 45 years.

Search for a Heavy Particle Decaying into an Electron and a Muon with the ATLAS Detector in √s = 7 TeV pp collisions at the LHC [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
This Letter presents the first search for a heavy particle decaying into an e^±μ^∓ final state in √s=7  TeV pp collisions at the LHC. The data were recorded by the ATLAS detector during 2010 and correspond to a total integrated luminosity of 35  pb^(-1).

Trained Memory of Uterine Macrophages Improves Subsequent Pregnancy Outcomes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies that pregnancy imprints a durable, pregnancy‐specific form of trained immune memory in uterine macrophages, marked by the emergence of LILRB3+/PIR‐B+ cells that expand across gestations, acquire a tolerogenic and metabolically rewired phenotype, and actively protect against inflammatory pregnancy loss in mice.

Does a Specialized Niche Market Vegetable Processor Enjoy Bargaining Power?

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Agribusiness companies may achieve competitive advantage through specialization within niche markets. One such niche is the fresh‐cut fruit and vegetable market, which has been steadily growing in Germany. This study examines whether the specialization of a German fresh‐cut producer grants it with market power within this niche market.

Perinatal Outcomes After Sleeve Gastrectomy Compared to a Matched Control Group. [PDF]

open access: yesAust N Z J Obstet Gynaecol
ABSTRACT Background Pregnancy after sleeve gastrectomy is increasingly common but outcomes data are limited. Aims To evaluate perinatal outcomes following sleeve gastrectomy compared to a matched non‐bariatric control group with similar pre‐pregnancy BMI. Materials and Methods We undertook a retrospective cohort study (2016–2022) of pregnant women with

VAE+DDPG: An Attention‐Enhanced Variational Autoencoder for Deep Reinforcement Learning‐Based Autonomous Navigation in Low‐Light Environments

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Variational Autoencoder+Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient addresses low‐light failures of infrared depth sensing for indoor robot navigation. Stage 1 pretrains an attention‐enhanced Variational Autoencoder (Convolutional Block Attention Module+Feature Pyramid Network) to map dark depth frames to a well‐lit reconstruction, yielding a 128‐D latent code ...
