Parity Violation in Proton-Proton Scattering at 221 MeV
The parity-violating longitudinal analyzing power, Az, has been measured in pp elastic scattering at an incident proton energy of 221 MeV. The result obtained is Az =(0.84 +/- 0.29 (stat.) +/- 0.17 (syst.)) x 10^{-7}. This experiment is unique in that it

Discovery limits for a new contact interaction at future hadronic colliders with polarized beams [PDF]
The production of high-transverse energy jets in hadron-hadroncollisions is sensitive to the presence of new contact interactions between quarks. If proton polarization were available, the measurement of some parity violating spin asymmetries in one-jet ...

Does a Specialized Niche Market Vegetable Processor Enjoy Bargaining Power?
ABSTRACT Agribusiness companies may achieve competitive advantage through specialization within niche markets. One such niche is the fresh‐cut fruit and vegetable market, which has been steadily growing in Germany. This study examines whether the specialization of a German fresh‐cut producer grants it with market power within this niche market.

Objective The evidence regarding adherence to dietary patterns and Parkinson's disease (PD) risk is inconsistent. Because of the long prodromal PD phase, reverse causation represents a major threat to investigations of diet in relation to PD. We examined whether adherence to the Mediterranean (MED) and Mediterranean‐Dietary Approaches to Stop ...

Searches for gluino-mediated production of third generation squarks with the ATLAS detector
A summary on the searches for gluino-mediated production of third generation squarks with the ATLAS detector is presented. Several scenarios in the framework of R-parity conserving minimal supersymmetric extensions of the Standard Model are considered ...

Search for a Heavy Particle Decaying into an Electron and a Muon with the ATLAS Detector in √s = 7 TeV pp collisions at the LHC [PDF]
This Letter presents the first search for a heavy particle decaying into an e^±μ^∓ final state in √s=7 TeV pp collisions at the LHC. The data were recorded by the ATLAS detector during 2010 and correspond to a total integrated luminosity of 35 pb^(-1).

Objective This nationwide descriptive study examined temporal trends in adverse pregnancy outcomes (APOs) and treatments in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) pregnancies in Sweden over 2003‐2022. Methods Using nationwide Swedish registers, we identified 1,417 pregnancies of women with prevalent SLE and delivery dates in 2003‐2022, and matched them to ...
