Soybean induced resistance to Spodoptera eridania herbivory

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 82, Issue 10, Page 9931-9943, October 2026.
SOD, CAT, APX, PPO, KTI, and MDA levels were higher in the resistant soybean. S. eridania herbivory increased H2O2 and MDA, but decreased SOD and PPO levels. S. eridania herbivory increased KTI activity only in the resistant variety. Isoquercitrin and daidzin were exclusive to resistant and susceptible soybeans.

Persistence of PPO mutations and dynamics of Amaranthus palmeri resistance to PPO‐inhibitor herbicides in a decade

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 82, Issue 10, Page 10185-10191, October 2026.
Over a decade, Arkansas Amaranthus palmeri populations maintained resistance to PPO‐inhibiting herbicides. PPO2 mutations relate to shifts in herbicide resistance patterns over time. Abstract BACKGROUND Amaranthus is a highly troublesome weed genera globally.

Contemporary Economic, Hospitalization, and Mortality Burden Among Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension Patients: A Real‐World US Claims Data Analysis

open access: yesPulmonary Circulation, Volume 16, Issue 4, October 2026.
ABSTRACT This study quantified the recent real‐world burden of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) using US real‐world data. Adults (18+) with treated PAH were identified from the MarketScan Commercial/Medicare Databases using a claims‐based algorithm requiring pulmonary hypertension diagnosis, PAH‐specific treatment, and right heart catheterization ...

Deep Reinforcement Learning Based Autonomous Decision‐Making for Cooperative Uncrewed Aerial Vehicles: A Search and Rescue Real World Application

open access: yesJournal of Field Robotics, Volume 43, Issue 7, Page 4382-4401, October 2026.
ABSTRACT This paper presents the first end‐to‐end framework that combines guidance, navigation, and centralized task allocation for multiple UAVs performing autonomous search‐and‐rescue (SAR) in GNSS‐denied indoor environments. A twin delayed deep deterministic policy gradient controller is trained with an artificial potential field (APF) reward that ...

Medicare Advantage Plan Bid Risk Underestimates and Corresponding Insurer Revenues

open access: yesHealth Services Research, Volume 61, Issue 5, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Objective To estimate the extent to which Medicare Advantage (MA) plans underestimate risk, the additional Part A and Part B (A&B) revenue insurers receive as a result, and how this differs across insurers and over time. Study Setting and Design We compared projected risk in plan‐level bids submitted by insurers to the actual plan‐level risk ...

Delivery Timing, Out‐Of‐Pocket Maternity Costs, and Postpartum Care Utilization: An Instrumental Variable Analysis Among Commercially Insured Women

open access: yesHealth Services Research, Volume 61, Issue 5, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Objective To examine whether out‐of‐pocket costs during pregnancy and delivery affect use of postpartum care. Study Setting and Design Because health insurance deductibles and limits reset annually, the timing of childbirth within that year quasi‐randomly assigns people to different levels of cost‐sharing during pregnancy+delivery versus ...
