Exercise‐specific plasma proteomic signatures in racehorses: Candidates for training adaptation and peak load monitoring

open access: yesEquine Veterinary Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Racehorses undergo profound physiological changes with training and competition, but current biomarkers inadequately capture the complex molecular dynamics of exercise. This study aimed to identify novel plasma biomarkers of training adaptation and peak load using high‐throughput proteomics.

Real time NL UPD estimation method based on a sliding time window

open access: yesScientific Reports
In the precise point positioning-ambiguity resolution (PPP-AR) method, the wide-lane (WL) and narrow-lane (NL) uncalibrated phase delays (UPDs) are instrumental in resolving the WL and NL ambiguities, respectively, ultimately achieving PPP-AR.

Functional and physicochemical properties of proteins isolated from four different pulses

open access: yesFood Biomacromolecules, EarlyView.
Proteins from four pulses viz. pinto bean, cow pea, pigeon pea, and navy bean were isolated and characterized. Pinto bean protein showed the highest oil absorption capacity and solubility. Pinto bean protein exhibited the highest emulsion capacity and foaming capacity. Cow pea protein showed the highest in vitro protein digestibility.

"Exchange Rate Misalignment: A New Test of Long-Run PPP Based on Cross-Country Data" [PDF]

open access: yes
We formulate and implement a new empirical procedure to examine the validity of PPP in the long-run for 153 countries by using the familiar cross-country data set of Heston, Summers, and Aten (2002).

Disparity in the Markers of Affordability Across Targeted‐ and Immune‐Therapy Drugs Used in Head and Neck Cancers

open access: yesHead &Neck, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background The expanding use of systemic therapies for recurrent and metastatic head and neck cancer has raised major concerns regarding affordability and equitable access, particularly across countries with differing income levels and health financing structures.

The Contribution of Growth and Interest Rate Differentials to the Persistence of Real Exchange Rates. [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper employs a new methodology for measuring the contribution of growth and interest rate differentials to the half-life of deviations from Purchasing Power Parity (PPP).

Tumor‐educated platelets in cancer diagnostics and prognostics: A critical appraisal and roadmap for clinical translation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, EarlyView.
Abstract Tumor‐educated platelets (TEPs) are emerging as a compelling frontier in liquid biopsy, functioning as dynamic, systemic sensors that sequester and process tumor‐derived biomolecules. This interaction imprints an integrated molecular signature of malignancy—spanning the transcriptome, proteome, lipidome, and crucially, the captured genome ...

How Does Vulnerability Framing by Microfinance Institutions Leverage Funding Success in Crowdfunding?

open access: yesInternational Journal of Finance &Economics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study draws on framing theory to investigate how microfinance institutions (MFIs) strategically construct a vulnerability‐oriented organisational identity and how this framing influences their funding decisions during the pre‐campaign phase of prosocial crowdfunding.

Policy and advocacy considerations for the prevention and care of preterm birth

open access: yesInternational Journal of Gynecology &Obstetrics, EarlyView.
Abstract Preterm birth (PTB) is the leading cause of mortality in children aged under 5 years and a major contributor to lifelong morbidity, disproportionately affecting low‐ and middle‐income countries. Despite its significant burden, PTB remains underprioritized on global and national health agendas, with limited integration into monitoring ...
