MONITORING SEISMIC DISPLACEMENTS USING GNSS DATA WITH PPP METHOD

open access: yesBulletin of the Geological Society of Greece, 2017
The Precise Point Positioning (PPP) analysis method adapted for monitoring coordinate displacements from GNSS permanent stations data. One week period data were analyzed covering the Samothrace strong earthquake event of 6.8M. The sample data were processed with Bernese v5.2 PPP engine and with the online web platform of JPL which uses the GIPSY/OASIS ...

Expandable Nanocomposite Shape‐Memory Hemostat for the Treatment of Noncompressible Hemorrhage

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A nanocomposite‐coated shape memory foam rapidly expands, accelerates clotting, and reduces blood loss in vivo. Its fast volumetric expansion and strong procoagulant activity make it a promising hemostat for treating deep, noncompressible hemorrhage.

Polarons in Heterogeneous Photo(electro)Catalysts

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Polarons are defined as quasiparticles consisting of electrons/holes covered by a cloud of virtual phonons, which are beneficial/detrimental to the electronic properties of materials. This minireview provides a conceptual overview of how small polaron formation influences the photon absorption, charge transport and separation, and surface reactivity in

Regional ionospheric correction generation for GNSS PPP-RTK: theoretical analyses and a new interpolation method

open access: yesGPS Solutions
The regional ionospheric corrections have become one of the critical parts of Precise Point Positioning (PPP)-based Real-Time-Kinematic (RTK) services to achieve fast positioning convergence.

Rapid Remodeling of the Human Gut Microbiome in Response to Short‐Term Animal Product Restriction and Associations with Host Molecular Phenotypes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A real‐world model of structured animal product restriction practiced for religious reasons reveals the dynamic adaptability of the human gut microbiome to dietary change and uncovers reductions in diversity and rare taxa loss. Integrated microbiome, metabolomic, and proteomic analyses uncover coordinated taxonomic and molecular shifts and identify ...

Experimental assessment of post-processed kinematic Precise Point Positioning method for structural health monitoring

open access: yesGeomatics, Natural Hazards & Risk, 2016
Monitoring the response of engineering structures, such as tall buildings, tower and large-scale bridges, under severe loading conditions, such as strong earthquake or wind storm, is an important requirement to verify their design and construction and to

Activated Platelet–Released Heat Shock Protein 90α Triggers Autophagy‐Dependent Neutrophil Extracellular Trap Formation and Amplifies Sepsis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
HSP90α is significantly upregulated in platelets from sepsis patients, with its origin from megakaryocyte‐derived trafficking. Furthermore, activated platelets secrete HSP90α into the extracellular space in both free and exosome‐associated forms. Finally, extracellular HSP90α directly engages TLR4 on neutrophils to induce autophagy, leading to NET ...

Radical‐Mediated, Substrate‐Independent Fabrication of Hybrid Solid–Hydrogel Materials With Tunable Crosslinking: An Initiator‐ and Crosslinker‐Free Approach

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work introduces a substrate‐independent, reagent‐free plasma strategy that forms radical‐rich interlayers for covalent hydrogel attachment without initiators or crosslinkers. The long‐lived radicals drive in situ gelation, creating robust, cytocompatible hybrid solid–hydrogel constructs across diverse substrates.

GNSS Real-Time ZTD/PWV Retrieval Based on PPP with Broadcast Ephemerides

open access: yesAtmosphere
GNSS precise point positioning (PPP) plays an important role in retrieving atmospheric water vapor values and performing numerical weather prediction. However, traditional PPP relies on real-time orbits and clocks, which require continuous internet or ...
