Direct Growth of Transparent Boron Nitride Neutron Shielding Layer for Space Window
Direct growth of sp2‐sp3 hybridized BN (HBN) on quartz, enabled by an h‐BN buffer, produces transparent and stable films up to 80 µm thick with high transmittance and strong neutron shielding, making HBN a promising candidate for space windows in long‐term lunar missions.

Donor‐derived tdTomato+ mature hepatocytes were FACS‐isolated and transplanted into Fah−/− host mice. During regeneration, these cells convert into proliferative, unipotent Afp+ rHeps. Their plasticity is governed by a PPARγ/AFP‐dependent metabolic switch, segregating into pro‐proliferative Afplow and pro‐survival Afphigh subpopulations.

This study is pioneering in constructing the shortest known synthetic pathway for L‐theanine production from xylose within E coli. Through comprehensive metabolic engineering strategies, our engineered strain achieved the highest reported L‐theanine titer from xylose, with a titer of 95.42 g/L, and a yield of 0.55 g/g.

The Perforator Pedicled Propeller (PPP) Flap Method: A Report of Two Cases
Perforator flaps are thin free-tissue transfers consisting of skin and subcutaneous tissue which have the advantage of decreasing donor site morbidity. We have reconstructed postburn scar contractures using "propeller flaps" of the remaining healthy skin around the recipient sites. In this paper, we report on two cases and describe the concept of using
