Reinvestigation of $pp\to pp��^0$ and $pp\to pp��$ at threshold
1998$pp\to pp ^0$ and $pp\to pp $ were considered close to threshold. The pion production was found not only to be dominated by impulse approximation (IA) and rescattering contributions, but also strongly by box-diagrams, resonances and heavy-meson exchanges. New relevant contributions for the IA were found.

The first evidence for the existence in mammalian pancreatic islets of a fourth type of endocrine cell, besides A, B, and D cells, was provided by Bencosme and Liepa1 who detected in the dog and cat uncinate process a type of cell (the “X” cell) showing distinctive staining patterns with trichrome methods.
