Analysis of short blocklength codes for secrecy
In this paper, we provide secrecy metrics applicable to physical-layer coding techniques with finite blocklengths over Gaussian and fading wiretap channel models and analyze their secrecy performance over several cases of concatenated code designs.

Trojan-horse attacks threaten the security of practical quantum cryptography
A quantum key distribution (QKD) system may be probed by an eavesdropper Eve by sending in bright light from the quantum channel and analyzing the back-reflections. We propose and experimentally demonstrate a setup for mounting such a Trojan-horse attack.

Semantic Security with Practical Transmission Schemes over Fading Wiretap Channels
We propose and assess an on–off protocol for communication over wireless wiretap channels with security at the physical layer. By taking advantage of suitable cryptographic primitives, the protocol we propose allows two legitimate parties to exchange ...

Understanding S-Box Security Assessment: A Practical Guide
S-boxes are the core nonlinear components of ciphers, providing confusion and diffusion. As a result, cryptanalysts focus on analyzing these components to identify distinguishers and ultimately recover the secret key of the cipher.

A Comprehensive Review of RFID and Bluetooth Security: Practical Analysis
The Internet of Things (IoT) provides the ability to digitize physical objects into virtual data, thanks to the integration of hardware (e.g., sensors, actuators) and network communications for collecting and exchanging data. In this digitization process,

Facial Cosmetic Therapy Use Among Patients With Systemic Sclerosis: An Australian Cohort Study
Objective Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is associated with numerous facial manifestations for which patients may engage in cosmetic therapies. It is unclear how patients with SSc use these therapies. This study sought to characterize patient engagement and experiences with cosmetic therapies for SSc‐related and non‐SSc–related facial changes.
