Polyaspartic acid‐calcium‐lanthanum (PAsp‐Ca‐La) complexes could induce antibacterial remineralization of demineralized dentin and in‐depth occlusion of dentinal tubules (DTs) with lanthanum‐doped hydroxyapatite (La‐HAp) via polyelectrolyte‐cation complexes pre‐precursor (PCCP) process, allowing the release of La3+ in response to acids generated by ...

Abnormal mechanical stretch induced by mechanical ventilation (MV) disrupts endothelial junctions via the NOX2/ROS/CaMKII/ERK1/2 axis both in human aortic endothelial cells (HAECs) in vitro and in ventilator‐induced lung injury (VILI) in mice. Quercetin, an antioxidant predicted to bind to NOX2, can effectively prevent mechanical stretch‐induced ...

Diagram illustrating the binding methods of NPs and biological barriers. The biological carrier‐mediated nanomedicine hitchhiking strategy (BCM‐NHS) utilizes two distinct techniques: the surface‐based “Backpack” method, which relies on ligand‐receptor binding, covalent conjugation, and non‐covalent binding, and the encapsulated “Trojan horse” approach,

Estimating sample size in dental research [PDF]
Determination of sample size is critical, however not easy to do. Sample size defined as the number of observations in a sample should be big enough to have a high likelihood of detecting a true difference between groups. Practical procedure for determining sample size, using G*power and previous dental articles, is shown in this study.
