We report a rational design strategy for STING antagonists by dual covalent targeting of Cys292/309 in its C‐terminal domain, directly preventing functional oligomerization. Through covalent warhead repurposing, we identified P005091 and revealed its unique dual‐cysteine mechanism.

A Pragmatic Look at Schopenhauer’s Pessimism [PDF]
Schopenhauer’s pessimistic philosophy is a depressing read. He writes many pages about how suffering is the norm, and any happiness we feel is merely a temporary alleviation of suffering. Even so, his account of suffering rings true

Self-criticism in a broken mirror [PDF]
If we have no transparent access to our self, what kind of self-criticism is possible?

Sometimes we draw conclusions about a thing's existence or its value by considering what are thought to be its consequences. I shall say that an argument is pragmatic when it consists in estimating an action, or any event, or a rule, or whatever it may be, in terms of its favourable or unfavourable consequences; what happens in such cases is that all ...
