Bioconvection Darcy–Forchheimer Flow of Ree‐Eyring Nanofluid Over a Riga Plate With Arrhenius Activation Energy and Viscous Dissipation

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This work examines the intricate interactions of heat radiation, viscous dissipation, the Cattaneo–Christov thermal model, gyrotactic microorganisms, Arrhenius activation energy, and Darcy–Forchheimer flow affecting Ree‐Eyring nanofluid behavior across a Riga plate.

Prandtl Number of Toroidal Plasmas

open access: yesJournal of the Physical Society of Japan, 1993
Theory of the L -mode confinement in toroidal plasmas is developed. The Prandtl number, the ratio between the ion viscosity and the thermal conductivity is obtained for the anomalous transport process which is caused by the self-sustained turbulence in the toroidal plasma.

On scaling laws in turbulent magnetohydrodynamic Rayleigh-Benard convection

open access: yes, 2008
We invoke the concepts of magnetic boundary layer and magnetic Rayleigh number and use the magnetic energy dissipation rates in the bulk and the boundary layers to derive some scaling laws expressing how Nusselt number depends on magnetic Rayleigh number,

Internal heating driven convection at infinite Prandtl number [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We derive an improved rigorous bound on the space and time averaged temperature $$ of an infinite Prandtl number Boussinesq fluid contained between isothermal no-slip boundaries thermally driven by uniform internal heating.

Exergy and Economic Analysis of Hybrid Mechanical Vapor Compression and Membrane Distillation

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Hybridization of two or more desalination processes has been identified as an attractive option for improved energy efficiency and recovery rate. To appropriately assess the performance enhancement of hybrid desalination systems, an integrated approach for energy, exergy, economic, and environmental investigations should be adopted. This study

Bioconvective Chemically Reactive Radiative Squeezing Flow of a Casson Hybrid Nanofluid Between Two Parallel Plates Under Variable Viscosity

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Hybrid nanofluids, known for their superior thermal and electrical conductivity, have demonstrated remarkable potential in enhancing the heat transfer capability of conventional base fluids. This study analyzes the effects of viscous dissipation and heat radiation on two‐dimensional unsteady incompressible squeezing flow transporting hybrid ...

Two‐Phase Nanofluid Flow in a Non‐Newtonian Model Past a Deformable Sheet With Magnetized Environmental Effects: Statistical Modeling and ANOVA Analysis

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper presents a comprehensive numerical analysis of magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) Casson nanofluid movement over a permeable, linearly stretching sheet, integrating the contributions of non‐uniform heat generation or absorption and chemical interaction.

Study on Natural Gas Decarbonization Process Based on CO2 Desublimation Characteristics

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Natural gas decarbonization is a crucial processing step. In this study, the snow separation technology for removal of carbon dioxide in natural gas based on CO2 desublimation characteristics was introduced. The phase equilibrium calculation of CH4‐CO2 and N2‐CO2 system was carried out by using cubic equations of states (EOSs), and identified ...
