Enhanced hydrogen species migration enabled by FN/BZY catalyst mitigates intermediate accumulation and improves DA‐PCFC performance during ammonia decomposition. Ammonia, with its high hydrogen density and carbon‐free nature, serves as ideal fuel for direct ammonia protonic ceramic fuel cells (DA‐PCFCs).

Captivation, false connection and secret societies in Singapore [PDF]
Interminable ritual repetition of set movements (taolu) has resulted in Chinese martial arts facing trenchant criticism as being useless in fight sports, mixed martial arts, and actual combat.

Sperm Transfer Under Behavioral and Morphological Constraints in the Orb‐Web Spider Genus Argiope
The polygamous mating system of the orb‐web spider genus Argiope provides a model to study the evolution of sperm transfer under morphological and behavioral constraints. This helps us to understand how male and female behavioral and morphological reproductive traits influence sperm transfer.

Postembryonic development of the predatory strike mechanics in a praying mantis (Insecta: Mantodea)
Praying mantis forelegs capture prey using specific kinematic and kinetic traits that change in size and morphology during postembryonic growth and sexual dimorphism influences these dynamics. Strike forces grow hyperallometrically with body weight; larger mantises show longer strike durations, slower joint angular velocities and increased tibia ...

Dynamic feature detection using virtual correction and camera oscillations [PDF]
Visual SLAM algorithms exploit natural scene features to infer the camera motion and build a map of a static environment. In this paper, we relax the severe assumption of a static scene to allow for the detection and deletion of dynamic points.

Evolution of Peripheral Visual System in the Apoidea: A Role for Food Item Mobility?
Since larger compound eyes and ocelli altogether improve vision, one may expect that insects specialised in chasing very mobile resources possess such morphological optimisation. By analysing 77 species of bees and wasps, we have found that wasps had larger eyes, but not larger ocelli, than bees.

In Situ Diffuse Reflectance Spectroscopy of Supported Chromium Oxide Catalysts: Kinetics of the Reduction Process with Carbon Monoxide [PDF]
In situ diffuse reflectance spectra of supported chromium oxide catalysts are investigated for the first time at elevated temperatures under controlled reaction conditions using a specially designed diffuse reflection attachment.

Preyssler Heteropolyacids in the Self-Etherification of 5-Hydroxymethylfurfural to 5,5′-[Oxybis(methylene)]bis-2-furfural Under Mild Reaction Conditions [PDF]
The synthesis of 5,5′-[oxybis(methylene)]bis-2-furfural (OBMF) from 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (5-HMF) was studied using bulk and alumina-supported Preyssler heteropolyacids (HPAs). The formation of OBMF was related to the amount of Brønsted acid sites, and
