Pre-emergent herbicide screening for wheat

open access: yesRevista Caatinga
ABSTRACT Weed control is a challenge in crop management due to the limited number of registered herbicides, especially for preemergent application. This study aimed to investigate the selectivity of pre-emergent herbicides with different mechanisms of action for wheat.

Residual tail twisting in ascidian larvae is stabilized by asymmetric myofibrils that resist bilateral symmetry restoration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

Management of Glyphosate Isopropylamine-Resistant Goosegrass (Eleusine indica) Biotypes Through Pre- and Post-Emergence Herbicides

open access: yesActa Universitatis Agriculturae et Silviculturae Mendelianae Brunensis
The resistance status of Eleusine indica to the isopropylamine glyphosate herbicide leads to control losses in oil palm plantations. Appropriate management is needed to reduce the presence of glyphosate-resistant E. indica. This study aimed to obtain the

The human gut microbiome across the life course

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Seletividade de herbicidas residuais ao feijão-comum durante o período inicial da fase vegetativa Selectivity of residual herbicides to common bean during the early period of the vegetative phase

open access: yesPlanta Daninha, 2013
Avaliou-se neste trabalho a seletividade de herbicidas residuais, aplicados em doses crescentes, na condição de pré-emergência, sobre o crescimento do feijão-comum (Phaseolus vulgaris) durante o início da fase vegetativa da cultura.

Possibilities of pre-emergence and post-emergence herbicide applications in Prunella vulgaris L. growth

open access: yesHorticultural Science, 2004
Possibilities of herbicide applications to the self-heal (Prunella vulgaris L.) growth were tested in 1997-1998. Experiments showed that the application of pre-emergence herbicides in the Prunella vulgaris L.

The Intelligent Pre-emergency Driving Onboard System

open access: yesIFAC-PapersOnLine, 2016
Abstract The paper offers the techniques for developing a driver’s decision-making support system embedded in vehicle’s onboard computer. The system is intended for maintaining vehicle’s normal operating parameters. During the motion the system models driver’s intellectual activity on the on-line assessment of vehicle’s operating conditions and the ...

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Predicting species emergence in simulated complex pre-biotic networks. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2018
An intriguing question in evolution is what would happen if one could "replay" life's tape. Here, we explore the following hypothesis: when replaying the tape, the details ("decorations") of the outcomes would vary but certain "invariants" might emerge ...
