In an outdoor container trial with different resistant black-grass biotypes with enhanced metabolism, efficacy of pre- and post-emergence treatments as well as their sequence was investigated in spring wheat.

Using programmable infusion pump in avian species – a validation methodology in geese
Wildlife face anthropogenic and natural stressors that affect their physiology and behaviour. The activity of the hypothalamic–pituitary–adrenal axis and glucocorticoid (GC) production is intrinsically linked with energy regulation and environmental stressors.

Selectivity of pre-and post-emergence herbicides to very-early maturing soybean cultivars
The combination of pre- and post-emergence herbicides may affect their selectivity to soybean plants, especially to short-cycle cultivars. The objective of this work was to evaluate the selectivity of pre- and post-emergence herbicides to very-early ...

This study identified a specific sequence of an extended drought followed by exceptional rainfall as a necessary precursor for mouse plagues in southeastern Australia. Long‐term rainfall anomalies interact with ecological processes to reset population dynamics, creating conditions that support rapid mouse population growth following periods of ...

Controlling watergrass in corn: With pre-emergence herbicides
Four years of testing have shown that chemicals incorporated in the soil as pre-emergence treatments give satisfactory control of watergrass and many broad-leaved weeds in corn growing in the organic soils of the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. Eptam, Tillam, atrazine and Randox-T are all potentially useful chemicals.

Selectivity of herbicides applied in pre-emergence in chia crop
Seeds of chia (Salvia hispanica L.) are known worldwide for the benefits in human nutrition. However, from the agricultural point of view, weed interference is one of the main limitations in this crop, and restricted basic information about the management with herbicides. The aim of this work was to evaluate the selectivity of herbicides applied in pre-

The Capital–Labour–State Dynamics of Herbicide Adoption in Rainfed India
ABSTRACT This paper engages debates around the capital–labour–state dynamics of agrarian transitions to address the oft‐studied but still little‐understood question of why farmers adopt herbicides when they do. Over the last several years, smallholder farmers in India have begun using the herbicide bispyribac sodium at breakneck speeds, particularly in

Cirsium arvense management with electrical weed control and clopyralid. [PDF]
Electrical weed control (EWC) treatments reduced Cirsium arvense biomass by ≤95% and suppressed new shoot emergence by 70–95%, achieving control comparable to clopyralid. Sequential or integrated applications enhanced efficacy, demonstrating EWC's potential as a nonchemical tool for perennial weed management in orchard systems.
