Research on Cracking Control of Immersed Tube Tunnels Concrete by Pre-heating treatment [PDF]
Herein, the pre-heating treatments are researched. With diversity of zone and temperature, highest average temperature of the section 10cm below surface was 14.7°C, which is lower than that of the concrete block. And the distance of 20cm and 40cm to surface of section, the temperature is 11.8°C and 9.8°C, respectively.

Effect of Pre-Heat-Treatment on the Oxidation Resistance of MCrAlY Coatings: A Review
High-performance gas turbines and aircraft engines necessitate MCrAlY (M = Ni, Co, or Ni/Co) coatings with exceptional oxidation resistance. Pre-heat-treatment can enhance the performance of MCrAlY bond coatings in the following ways: First, it reduces the porosity of the bond coating and promotes the diffusion of elements within it.

Pre-Treatment Methods for Regeneration of Spent Activated Carbon
Spent activated carbon (SAC) usually exhibits a low specific surface area due to its high ash contents. In this study, pre-treatments, such as heat and acid treatments, were optimized to improve this feature. The heat pre-treatment did not reduce the ash
