[Tizanidine for preanesthetic medication].

The Japanese journal of anesthesiology, 1996The effect of tizanidine given as a premedication on perioperative hemodynamics (mean blood pressure, heart rate), sedation, hypnosis and midazolam requirements for induction were assessed in 68 patients scheduled for elective surgery under general anesthesia. Patients were assigned to three groups.

JAMA, 1960To the Editor:— Dr. Domino's suggestion on the use of the word "sympathomimetic" when referring to atropine and scopolamine is quite proper. His comments concerning the action of these drugs is, of course, correct. I have been guilty of a common error in my application of the term.
