Cyanoacetylene is an earlier intermediate in a proposed prebiotic synthesis of cytosine, while cyanoacetaldehyde is a later intermediate. There is no scientific basis for the claim that cyanoacetaldehyde is more plausibly prebiotic than cyanoacetylene in this context.

Meteorites contain organic compounds that occur in all known life. These compounds, commonly referred to as prebiotic compounds, include α-amino acids and are most prevalent on carbonaceous chondrites. As carbonaceous chondrites are pristine samples from early in the solar system that have not had living organisms on them, we can study the chemistry ...

Paotianxiong polysaccharides potential prebiotics: Structural analysis and prebiotic properties
Food ChemistryPaotianxiong (PTX) is a processing product of Aconitum carmichaelii Debx., often used as a tonic food daily. However, the structure and activity of the polysaccharide component that plays a major role still need to be determined. In our work, two new polysaccharides were purified from PTX and named PTXP-1 and PTXP-2.
